AutoStandByPro is a lightweight, intuitive and user friendly rule based application that can help reduce your electricity bills and save the environment by putting your computer to a low power state when it is not needed.
With AutoStandByPro you can automate the process of Shutdown, Restart, Sleep, Hibernate or Lock a Computer, Log Off the Current User or All Users, Prevent Sleep/Hibernation, Prevent Display Sleep or execute a user Custom Action.
-
AutoStandByPro will execute Actions based on user defined Rules. Each action of a rule like Shutdown, Restart, Sleep etc is executed based on the outcome of its associated Trigger (condition). Example of different conditions are User Activity, Computer Display, User/System Process etc.
A user can combine two or more rules to get the preferred result. AutoStandByPro will process all enabled rules and combine them according to the following two conditions:
- If a rule that has an associated action “Prevent Sleep/Hibernation” is activated then NO other action will be executed.
- If there is no active rule that has an associated action “Prevent Sleep/Hibernation” present, then AutoStandByPro will check the remaining rule(s). For each among the active remaining rule(s) AutoStandByPro will select the one that has the least Remaining Time and execute its associated action when that time reaches zero.
-
AutoStandByPro will run on any 100% compatible PC running Windows Vista/7/8/8.1 (both 32 and 64 Bits).
AutoStandByPro requires .NET framework version 4.0 or later to run correctly. If .NET framework version 4.0 or later is not present during installation, the installer will prompt you to install before installing AutoStandByPro.
In order to use any of the supported Actions your computer must support those particular actions. In order to use the Wake Up capabilities of AutoStandByPro your computer must support and have wake timers enabled.
