A Profile is a set of “Rules” that is used mainly for better management of the rules used in AutoStandByPro. For example you can create a profile with rules that will put your computer to sleep after you have download a set of files, or you can create a Profile that will put our computer to hibernation when it has finished converting a movie. AutoStandByPro can hold an unlimited number of profiles and each profile can have an unlimited number of rules. Profiles can be created and managed through the "Rules Table".
At any given time AutoStandByPro can have only one active profile and you can “Switch Between Profiles” in real-time either through the “Activity Monitor” window, through the “Rules Table” or when AutoStandByPro is minimized to the "System Tray". It is recommended that you create different profiles for different scenarios and switch between them when needed.
For creating your first profile AutoStandByPro includes a “Simple Profile Wizard” window that can create a basic but still powerful profile. Please note that AutoStandByPro is much more powerful and supports a lot more ways to create rules which when combined together can solve even more complicated cases. For more info and examples please see Combining Rules.
